Discovery Center Teens
Calling all teens (grades 8-12) who enjoy
helping younger kids, need community service credit, want to meet teens
from other schools and want to be part of a real team!
The Discovery Center Teens is an educational service club
for teenagers wanting to make a difference in their community by supporting
the work of The Discovery Center for Science and Technology. We
create activities and programs that make science and technology fun
for everyone!
Have no fear; you don’t have
to be a whiz at science to participate!
DC Teens is a club where students meet
others with similar interests, explore science and science-related careers,
learn leadership skills through organizational work and event planning,
and earn community service credit for volunteer hours.
DC Teens receive training to help them
share science with others.
During training teens develop skills
applicable to other areas of their life and future employment; such
as customer service, communication and education.
